They have 21 single rooms, eight twin rooms and one triple room, most of which are en-suite. They have a kitchen and dining area, three day rooms, an outside patio area with seating and a garden to enjoy in fine weather. All laundry being done in the home must be labelled with the resident’s name.
We endeavour to provide the highest standard of care and compassion whilst respecting the dignity, privacy and independence of each of our residents within a warm and homely atmosphere. Among other facilities they have a Nurse call system installed in each bedroom and bathroom and a Locking Door Release System ensuring a safe environment for all residents. It is located in a beautifully refurbished building, full of character, with 1.5 acres of private, landscaped gardens. The property was previously a convent and first became a nursing home in 1989.

Jacqui has over 18 years of experience working within Nursing Homes as an Administrator. Jacqui’s background is in the IT profession having previously worked in Dublin, Belgium and Australia. The care taken of my aunt by all the staff was excellent and couldnt be faulted in any way. The lovely rapport each of them had with her made her time there very happy. Our chefs Janos and Jim are passionate about nutrition and make the dining experience a treat.

Vipin joined Maryborough Nursing Home in September 2020 as Director of Nursing. He has a Bachelor of Science in Nursing which he completed in India in 2009. He continued his education in Ireland where he obtained a Masters in Nursing from University College Cork in 2014.
Our staff complete an induction process and have mandatory training in Health and Safety , Manual Handling , Fire Drills, First Aid, Food Hygiene and Safety. Brookhaven Healthcare which was established in 2005 is a family run organisation dedicated to the provision of high quality services to all residents in its care. We have a dedicated Head Chef who oversees all meals and snacks in CareChoice Montenotte. Our Head Chef is specially trained in the IDDSI framework for people living with dysphagia to make sure every meal is one to remember. Supported by our fantastic catering team, our mealtimes are an experience for everyone. We create our monthly menus with our residents and display our menus for all to see.
They introduce new menus of traditional and worldwide cuisine that enhances the palate of the older adult. They deliver through their catering skills not only a nutritional element but an understanding of the key principles of food delivery in a therapeutic enjoyable and colourful fashion. Mary is the daughter of the late Mary Lucey, the founder of Darraglynn Nursing Home. Mary has over 35 years in General Nursing, A/E nursing, Gynaecology, Surgery, and 15 years as a clinical Nurse Specialist in Tissue Viability.
Tom took the time to analyse in detail their particular needs and circumstances. This resulted in a long term sustainable financial solution under the Fair Deal Scheme. I would recommend Tom without hesitation, given the value his professional advise brought in guiding us to a long term sustainable financial solution. He had a list of required documents (some that I didn’t know I would need). He took the pain and worry out of the whole process and put my mind at rest.
